The DFW-V500
is a fully digital camera which adopts the IEEE1394-1995 interface.
The DFW-V500 industrial camera, incorporates the new Sony Wfine
CCD, which features a primary color filter ensuring accurate color
reproduction; square pixels which prevents geometric distortion
and the progressive scan technology which provides for sharp,
high resolution images, even of fast moving objects. The camera
easily interfaces with workstations and PC's using a 1394 digital
serial bus. The DFW-V500 achieves a data transfer rate of 400Mbps,
allowing YUV 4:2:2 images at 640 x 480 resolution at 30 frames
per second. It also includes an external trigger mode for asynchronous
trigger operation that provides jitter-free pictures since the
camera acquisition can be synchronized to full random events.
Constructed with an aluminum diecasting body for improved durability,
the DFW-V500 uses industry standard "C" mount lenses.
